Laws of the Nightmare Spell
To ensure a fair and dark-fantasy immersive experience for all players in the Dream Realm, please review and abide by our community regulations. 10 warns = permanent ban. If you have questions about the rules, please reach out to a staff member on our Discord.
Cheats
Cheats include any modification or client that provides an unfair advantage, including but not limited to: illegal texture packs (x-ray, for example), combat cheats (aim-bot, kill-aura, etc.), autoclickers, etc. Essentially, any modification that automates inputs can be considered a violation of this rule. In general, if you want to make any modification to your mods folder, you should clear it with a staff member first or risk being held accountable.
Knowledge of Cheats
In addition to the direct use of cheats, players can also be held responsible for knowing about cheats and not reporting them. If you know or suspect someone to be using unauthorized mods, cheats, or bugs, then you are obligated to report them.
Prohibited PVP
PVP is completely prohibited in the waking world, outposts zones, and citadels. PVP includes directly damaging a player via vanilla PVP, using abilities or memories on players, causing indirect damage via game mechanics (i.e. drowning, suffocation, etc.), or forcing players out of safe zones.
Griefing
Griefing is prohibited in all of the same areas as PVP. Griefing includes: taking a player's items from storage containers without their permission, intentionally ruining another player's builds, or negatively interfering in any other way with another player's progress. Outside of safe areas, griefing is fully allowed.
Server-Side Griefing
Server-level griefing includes building intentional lag machines or causing mass destruction solely for the purpose of causing destruction.
Harassment
Harassment includes any unwelcome comments or actions regarding race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, place of origin, beliefs, politics, or background. There is a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment. It is entirely your responsibility to know where the line between jokes and harassment lies, and who your audience is. It is strongly suggested you stay well on the right side of this line to avoid any miscommunication.
Extensions
Members of the server may be held accountable for their actions outside of the server on any platform. For example, if a server member reports another server member stalking their social media and harassing them there, we will do our part to stop the harassment by implementing the respective punishments.
Exploits and Bugs
Exploits and bugs are distinct from cheats/mods in that they are features which may genuinely exist on the server, but are clearly not intended or break the game in some way. Examples include but are not limited to duplication bugs and clearly game-breaking features (i.e. abilities that completely violate generally considered fair play). If there is ever a question as to whether something is a game feature or a bug, it should be reported to staff; otherwise a player may be held accountable.
Knowledge of Exploits and Bugs
In addition to the direct use of exploits and bugs, players can also be held accountable for unreported knowledge of others using bugs. If you know or suspect someone to be using exploits/bugs, you are obligated to report them and may be held accountable if it can be shown that you did not.
Alternate Accounts
Each player on the server is allowed only one Minecraft account. The use of additional accounts, even for purposes which do not inherently violate other game rules, is strictly forbidden.
Staff Authority
Server staff, including developers, moderators, and staff members, have ultimate authority to impose punishments as they see fit. This is to allow discretion in areas that may have been overlooked in the above rules or punishments. If you have an issue with a specific staff member or suspect abuse, reach out to a staff rank above the problematic member.
Ticket System
Players may submit tickets to report issues or request assistance from server staff. If you create a ticket, you must respond to it within 20 hours of a staff member viewing it. Otherwise, the ticket will be closed. While another ticket can be opened, be aware that failing to respond again will result in a warning.
Tagging
Tagging any staff other than moderators will lead to a warning.
